Union Depot Bar & Grill

This historic space needed to accommodate breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as event catering for up to 800 guests—all in a 1926 neo-classical structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places. With formal event and meeting spaces, casual dining spaces, multiple bars, and outdoor event space, the large commercial kitchen called for more than 200 pieces of equipment, including a state-of-the-art beer system. However, venting from the limestone building was limited, requiring a special pollution control unit. Rapids procured vent-free, energy-efficiency kitchen equipment to accommodate this historic building’s limitations.
