Rapids Company History

Since our inception in 1936 as Rapids Inc., Rapids Contract & Design has grown tremendously. Today, we are a full-service foodservice equipment and supplies dealership, and comprehensive design and consulting provider with four metropolitan locations throughout the United States.

Our customers are as diverse as our products and services. They run the spectrum of the foodservice industry, operating in a variety of arenas.

Family owned, we employ more than 75 experienced professional and technical team members. Our staff, certified designers, foodservice consultants, interior designers, Certified Foodservice Professionals (CFSP) and business professionals have been in the industry and with Rapids Contract for many years. This means that they know their clients well; they understand your needs and budget. Rapids Contract is a proud member of FEDA and is focused on the continuing education and professional development of our employees.
