Centerline Door-Type Dishwashers by Hobart

Centerline by Hobart has recently released a line of mid-tier dishwashers. These provide the quality, simplicity and reliability that you would expect from the Hobart name, while remaining in an affordable price range. The restaurants that these machines would work best for are established independents with higher throughput needs, looking to move from low to mid-tier brands as they focus on making long-term investments for the business.

When designing the dishwashers, Hobart looked at the challenges faced by many end users in the mid-tier range. Through this, they determined the most important customer needs:

  1. Price Sensitive
  2. Reliable Machine Operation
  3. Simple Controls
  4. Ease of Install
  5. Easy to Repair with Clear Directions
  6. Easy to Purchase and Identify Parts

To address these needs, Hobart included a number of features on the Centerline dish machines, many of which are not present on competitor’s models.

Top Mounted Digital User Interface

Easy to use and see with normal and extended cycle options. Has a delime indicator so customers can easily lime from building up. Most competitors have analog controls with a single wash cycle option.

Tri-Wash & Rinse Arms (CDH model only)

Provides more water coverage over the wares, improving wash performance by 20% and removing more food soil.  Has a 0.80 gal/rack final rinse rate.

Pillarless Design

Allows for full access into the machine with an 18″ opening. This makes loading and removal of racks easy, and allows the machine to accommodate a single sheet pan. Most competitors have front pillars.

Tank size

Deep drawn, coved stainless steel tank with recirculating design, which saves a significant amount of water over fill and dump machines (using up to 54% less water). CDL tank is 4 gallons, CDH is 8 gallons. Most competitors are fill and dump.

Integrated Chemical Pumps

Standard on CDL models, they allow for flexibility in choosing a chemical supplier. Detergent and rinse aid chemical pumps are available as an accessory on the CDH models.

Pumped Drain

Provides flexibility for installation into a wall or floor drain. Most competitors have a gravity drain.

Sense-A-Temp™ Booster (CDH only)

Provides consistent .80 gal/rack over the ware, regardless of wall pressure, and ensures 180°F final rinse temperature. This eliminates rinse problems associated with varying water pressure, and delivers consistent results.

4-Sided Door

Retains heat and saves energy, while also improving dish room comfort. This decreases heat loss by 40% compared to a single wall door. It also has up to a 45% reduction of heat gain in the dish room. Competitors have 2 or 3 sided doors.

51 Racks Per Hour

Able to clean over 50 racks an hour, the machines have a high throughput, efficient design.

CDH (High Temperature Sanitation) Model

High temperature water more efficiently removes fats and oils from wares, and does not require as much chemical solution. They decrease the dry time with flash drying, as well as taking up less space for drying afterwards. For example, 5 racks cleaned by high temperature sanitation can be dried in the time it takes to dry 3 racks cleaned by chemical sanitation models.
