“Allen’s first couple of weeks here have shown his ability to be personally accountable – he’s always working, head down, on getting updates on orders that we’ve fallen behind on. He’s been a great addition to the team so far, and we appreciate his ability to stay on top of everything asked of him and asking questions when something is not clear.”

Words from our Vice President, Eric Schmitt:

Allen started with Rapids in mid-October as one of our new additions to the Rapids Contract team. The Project Administrator role that he holds is one that is certainly capable of giving someone the sense of “drinking from a fire hose” on your first few weeks on the job. The Contract team is always moving projects and equipment and the world that he stepped into included the added challenge of the great supply chain crisis. This makes this recognition that he received all the more important and demonstrative of the great work that Allen has done since coming on board. Being an organized person is critical when holding any role that is in Project Coordination and Allen has been sure to maintain that organization by asking questions when something is not clear. A huge risk for any new employee, is the dreaded action of “ASSUMING”. The old saying goes “if you assume, you make an a** of you and me”. Not asking questions when you don’t understand something can lead down a path of extra work that may not be needed. A critical thing we hope that every employee at Rapids & Affiliates knows is that WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! That means every single one of us are your support system. If you don’t know something, then ask a question. You may find that it actually generates an issue that we all may need to tackle. We appreciate the hard work that Allen has put in so far with Rapids. He has been a welcome addition to the team and reminds us again why we are always looking for candidates who match our company’s values!
