“She has been incredibly busy as of late with the volume of work we have coming through the door from the sales team. As a result, we have been actively seeking out candidates to fill a position in her department that would help relieve some of the burden and improve turn around times to our clients. This is all pretty standard stuff but what isnt standard is what she did most recently for one of the candidates. She realized that her days were completely swamped and so finding time to talk with this candidate was sparse. She took it upon herself to coordinate a meeting with this candidate during the evening in their home town so that she could walk them through the role that they would be in and talk in more detail about what it requires. I heard from the candidate when I had the interview the next day that they really appreciated that effort to help clarify the role. In doing this, she has set an incredible example of what our team does for one another to keep the team moving forward and I know it had a positive impact on the perception of our team in the eyes of this individual.”

Everyone who knows Christy knows that she has been deserving of recognition for her dedication to others both internally and externally for a very long time. This specific example above is a microcosm of the many ways that Christy shows not only being personally accountable but all of our other values. Anyone in the Contract side of the business and especially those in Marion know the dedication that Christy has to her team and her clients because she can be found in first thing and out last during busy times. The toughest thing that many of us have with Christy is finding a particularly “unique” example of her ability to Deliver Excellence in Every Moment because, to put it simply, she does it all of the time. Her ability to secure this recognition in our last month of the 2018 recognition year is great for us all to see. It reminds us that what makes Rapids and all of its companies truly great, is our people. When we interface with customers, friends, family, strangers, our behavior and dedication to what we do shines bright and people remember that. It sticks with them through all of the other clutter. What we want is to create great experiences and Christy helps do that every day.
