“I was leaving for the day at 5:30 and walked out to the parking lot with Dan G, he was sharing his latest volleyball story and a cell phone started ringing – Dan dropped the conversation dug the phone out of his bag and immediately went back into his professional mode… “Hello, thank you for calling Chain Restaurant Solution, this is Dan, how can I help you” … and he turned and went back into the building to handle the call. Dan could have easily jumped in his car and deferred the call until he got home, instead he dropped everything and went back to continue his long day at the office. Good job at personally accountable and putting the customer first.”

Isnt this the epitome of Dan, passion about just about everything he is involved in and putting others first. I cannot tell you the number of times I hear Dan in conversation with his colleagues and it is always very positive and always genuinely inquisitive. I can also tell you that we all know how great his customer interactions are. It can be a difficult thing to always put the customer first in the very demanding CRS tech role. You have many customers who depend on you to help resolve their broken equipment as fast as possible. The stress they feel and convey can make it very challenging to send out a new “ping” to reset the tone of the conversation, however, Dan works very hard to do that. We all know the times which we have been forced with a decision to act immediately or push off a problem. It can be challenging to have the drive to see through the toughest of issues quickly. In this example which Dan has been nominated for, we can see what it looks like to “put the customer first” and handle those situations so that you earn a very happy and loyal customer.
