Grand Living at Riverstone

The Grand Living Riverstone Project location in Sugarland, TX. This is the 4th Grand Living senior living facility Rapids has completed within the last few years, with 4 more currently in the design and construction phase throughout Texas and Florida. Sugarland is about 1 hour southwest of Houston in a beautiful residential community.

The Rapids team was able to work closely with the Grand Living and Ryan Construction team to open this beautiful luxury facility. Our contract team was the design consultant for the commercial foodservice areas. Design work started on this project in 2019, and their first resident was moving in June 1st 2022. It was a long process, but definitely worth it.

At this Grand living facility there is a full-service main kitchen, a smaller show bistro kitchen, as well as two memory care serving areas for over 200 rooms in the 4-story building. These residential rooms are a variety of assisted living, independent living and memory are units to accommodate for all types of residents.

As part of the new build construction, Rapids took multiple trips to the location for field checks, commercial equipment and residential equipment installations, as well as multiple courtesy follow up trips for owner training and completion of the residential room installs to help the project stay on schedule. Rapids Contract and Design’s involvement included full project space design, working through Texas specific health and building codes, procuring the commercial and residential cooking equipment, all equipment installation, equipment start-ups, and owner trainings. We are extremely pleased with the results of this project, and it always such a privilege and joy working with the Grand Living and Ryan Construction team.
