Each month, Foodservice Equipment & Supplies recognizes a talented foodservice dealer sales rep as DSR of the Month. This month, the honor went to Rapids’ own Jeff Rice!
Jeff has worked at Rapids for 14 years, and has extensive design experience – including but not limited to retirement communities, breweries, bars, restaurants, colleges, K-12 schools, and more.
As part of the DSR of the Month program, FE&S did a Q&A with Jeff, allowing him to share valuable advice about what’s he learned during his tenure at Rapids.
When asked how to put together the right equipment package for a project, Jeff emphasized efficiency: “Exhaust hoods are usually the kitchen’s biggest investment. If we can spec equipment that handles multiple tasks, it shortens the hood, which minimizes the investment and maximizes efficiency.”
He also underscored being a good listener. “If the customer is not happy, listen to everything they’re saying and have empathy.”
