Our Involvement

Rapids Contract & Design partnered with Reach for Your Potential to design and equip a small, dedicated prep and serving kitchen within their daycare facility. Our in-house team designed the space, then handled equipment procurement, installation, and a full smallwares package to get the kitchen fully operational.

The project team included Solutions Engineer Luke Green and Designer Alyssa, who led the design effort, alongside Project Manager Tyson Schultz and Account Manager Hunter Bell, who managed the smallwares package.

A key challenge on this project was working within an existing building that featured concrete walls and ceilings on the lower level, where removing or relocating walls would have been cost-prohibitive. The design team adapted the kitchen layout to fit within the existing room footprint while still meeting functional needs. The commercial exhaust system required close coordination across the design team to specify the correct hood, route ductwork to code, and properly locate the exhaust fan and dedicated makeup air unit.

The completed kitchen now gives Reach for Your Potential a fully functional prep and serving space, purpose-built to fit within the constraints of their existing facility.
