In November 2024, our team at completed a comprehensive foodservice design and equipment project for the Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) in Iowa City. This project reflects our commitment to supporting community-focused initiatives by designing and equipping spaces that cater to specific needs and promote independence.
The facility combines residential and commercial equipment to ensure the space is both functional and versatile. Key elements of the project include:
- Exhaust hoods to maintain air quality and safety
- A large walk-in cooler for ample storage of perishable items
- Dishwashing equipment to support the needs of the facility and its residents
The space is designed to be used by residents for preparing and eating meals, offering them the ability to independently manage their food needs in a secure and supportive environment.
This project was carefully designed and expertly managed in-house under the leadership of Matt Guillen, who oversaw the entire process from concept to completion. Luke Green, as the Solutions Engineer, along with the Design Team, played a pivotal role in the design aspect, ensuring that functionality aligned with the mission of DVIP. Together, they created a space that prioritizes comfort, security, and practicality for all its residents.
