On April 30, Rapids was thrilled to serve as a Full Plate Sponsor of Relish the Region - a brand-new event hosted by the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance celebrating the culinary talent and beverage creativity of restaurants across our region.
The evening brought guests together at the DoubleTree by Hilton for an exciting night of food, drinks, and community. Twenty-two regional restaurants set up tasting stations, giving attendees the chance to sample an impressive variety of dishes and signature cocktails, all while enjoying live music and a lively atmosphere.

Rapids was on-site with a table of our own, where we had the opportunity to connect with attendees, support the talented restaurant teams in the room, and introduce guests to our Foodservice Supply Showroom - a resource designed specifically for operators like the ones who made the night so memorable. We also hosted two raffle drawings throughout the evening: one lucky attendee went home with a Vollrath Cookware set, and participating restaurant Goldfinch Tap & Eatery was the proud winner of a Vollrath Induction Range. Congratulations to both winners!
The evening wrapped up with the announcement of two crowd-favorite competition winners. Citywalk Eatery earned the title of Best Bite, and Dash Coffee Roasters took home Best Sip honors. Congratulations to both - and to every restaurant that brought their best to the table.
