As schools begin to reopen, there are a lot of factors they will have to take into account to ensure the safety of their students, teachers, lunchroom personnel, and other staff. To help the administration deal with this momentous task, many organizations are providing recommendations and other guidance on how to incorporate policies like social distancing into their current setup.
According to an article from The New York Times, one of these recommendations is going to be that schools close their cafeterias and serve lunch (and breakfast, if applicable) in the classrooms. This will eliminate students crowding together as they wait in line to get food, as well as sitting too close at the lunch table.
