On Christmas Day, Clay received a call from his customer with an order that was needed for a new location opening that was deemed critical by the customer. In order to ensure this order was handled on the customers timeline, Clay came in on the Monday after Christmas which was a scheduled vacation day for Clay to ensure the quote was turned around on the customers timeline. From my standpoint, this is an example of Delivering Excellence in Every Moment but “Putting the customer First”.”

The end of the year is always a wild time. Many organizations are taking time off and enjoying the break. We want our team to be able to do the same but in this case, Clay went above and beyond to take care of a valued client of his. Clay has done this exact same type of actions several times in the past so it is great to see him recognized for the care and effort he puts in to taking care of his clients. In a world dominated by eCommerce, we have worked hard to build a team of people who separate us by “Delivering Excellence in Every Moment”. That means, not simply sending an automated message to important customers saying “sorry we are closed” but rather taking extra care to put our important customers service levels at a much higher priority. These may seem like small things, but I am sure we can all understand that this is not. This action is what makes our company and our service something with value. An automated service cannot navigate the challenges of entering orders and calling favors in to factories to get help getting orders out during a holiday period. They cannot appreciate or empathize with a client who wants to make the most out of a very important holiday for many hospitality operations, NEW YEARS! They also cannot provide that genuine experience that a human who really cares can provide. We appreciate the wonderful example that Clay has given us with this nomination and we hope that he was also able to enjoy some well deserved relaxation with his family when he got this done!
