We received an email from a frustrated customer who had placed an order a week earlier and still had not received the product requested. Eric worked with the customer to ensure they were taken care of and called and followed up with the customer letting her know to call him at home on his cell phone if needed. She called him at home and Eric handled her frustration, held himself personally accountable for the fact the order had not yet shipped and apologized for the fact that he did not call her to explain the delay. Eric was able to placate her concerns to the point of sending me an email indicating she would be a Star customer for life! Good Job Eric!”

Eric has a very loyal following from his customers at Star due to the care he puts behind each of his orders. This example above which has earned him DEEM Employee of the Month is no exception. We are in a world that more and more moves its way to online only interactions. However, many of us know how frustrating it can be to not have an actual caring human on the other end of any transaction when you are in need of help. Eric has always been a great resource for his clients and demonstrates his value to them each time they come in or call in. Additionally, Eric didn’t simply ignore an issue that his client was having, he held himself accountable and took care of his customer. The hardest thing to do at times is admit when we may have been in error on something. Most frustrated customers want their source of frustration to be acknowledged so that they feel heard and understood. Eric did just this and then went beyond that in being willing to take the call when needed from them to resolve it and make them a customer for life. Congratulations on your recognition, Eric!
