“Kyle has been working on several of my projects recently where Architects have changed wall dimensions at the last minute, End Users that tell us to go in one direction but then change their mind and significant revisions that have short turnaround times. Kyle and I have worked closely together through these with all respective parties and “gotten them off the ledge” and back to a position where we can act fast to meet the deadlines. Kyle, without a doubt, has exemplified all five of Rapids’ values in the past few weeks and is helping us build better traction in a market that has been untouched and difficult to get in.”

Words from our Vice President, Eric Schmitt:

The life of a designer is filled with change. As many wise people have stated in the past, “the only thing guaranteed in life is change” and that is certainly the case for designers. As they help bring a client’s vision to life, it is inevitable that they will want to make revisions as they realize the possibilities. Kyle does a fantastic job of balancing the changes a customer wants to make with the reality that changes cannot be unlimited without costs. He is honest with the client and the DSR who is the lead on the project about whether we need to request a final design decision to keep a project on budget. He provides an incredible amount of knowledge and insight on design possibilities to improve project flow. He, Teran, and Christy are an incredible source of pride for our entire organization as they regularly receive praise from their fellow Rapids employees and the clients that they work with. It is also important to note that Kyle is always incredibly good at hitting deadlines that he give people. He is always focused on being realistic and rarely if ever misses on a commitment. This nomination above is a great example of that. We cannot thank Kyle enough for being such a great example of “Being Personally Accountable”!
