Cassie Schwarzenstein

Marketing Specialist

In charge of product management, pricing maintenance, and content development – including product descriptions, blogs, and newsletters

Nominator: Jeff Menster

For: Being a Problem Solver

“We had St Paul inventory and Cassie went up expecting to stay over just one night. She was also expecting to just “push” counts around for us in her spreadsheets. Being the first time that I had to manage the laptop prep, everyone was working with the B team (me). When I was not able to get the laptops connecting quite right, Cassie stepped up and helped out. Next we had a slow connection to her computer. This caused a delay in getting count sheets put on the thumb drives. Cassie was able to work with Paul and find a work around to get us up and running very quickly. Again, Cassie’s function at inventory is to just push counts around. When Cassie was “caught” up with pushing counts, she would team up with Joe Dodds and help count. The schedule was for Cassie to come home around 3 PM Wednesday, but due to our slow start, it was becoming more and more obvious that we may have to stay another night in St Paul. When I asked Cassie if she could stay, she was fine with it. No shrugging or delay in answering. She just said she could stay if need be. As it turned out we did not have to stay. We got on the road about 7:45 PM. We got back to Rapids at 11:40 or so. Cassie’s day was not done. There was still a couple of reports that needed to be run before start of business Thursday. Without hesitation Cassie went to her desk at 11:45 and ran the reports before heading home around Midnight. Cassie could have easily complained about have to do someone elses job, or complained about a bod connection, or complained about me not having laptops prepped, or having to stay another night, or having to go to the office at 11:40PM. Never a complaint. Very well done.”

Words from our Vice President, Eric Schmitt:

I am here to tell you that the lore of Cassie when it comes to inventory time is well documented since she came on board. I have hear as have many others that she is absolutely stellar when it comes to this annual event and much of what is highlighted in the incredible nomination above is on par with what has been said about her many times prior as well by her peers and managers. As you can see, she is an incredible problem solver. She never simply finishes a task and waits on others to get done. She instead works to ensure her entire team finishes as quickly as possible by circling back with her peers to see how she can best help them get their task completed. If any of you have had the pleasure of meeting Cassie you know that she is extremely humble and is likely to give credit to her team before accepting credit herself. She always brings new and creative ideas to the table not only in the inventory process but to each and every part of the business she comes into contact with. We are very grateful to have Cassie on our team and consistently finding new and creative ways to solve problems not just for her but for everyone around her. Kudos, Cassie!
