How long have you been with Rapids?
Since end of March 2022, so about a year.
What was your favorite project? Why?
I really enjoyed working on Hubble House when I first came on board, because it’s such an old and unique space with tons of history!
The Mayo Projects I have been a part of are really interesting as well in that there are many similarities in projects, yet differences – but they have all blended beautifully.
What was your most challenging project? Why?
This is a tough one, every project has its challenges but I’d say to date for me it has to be the Mayo Gonda River Room project, our team dealt with several issues out of our control such as Holiday industry disruptions and delays as well as extremely long lead times from Manufacturers for Walk Ins. Even had a shipping carrier mistakenly deliver things down in Texas! Another project that sticks out to me as being more difficult would be the Mayo Market Jacksonville job, Hurricane Ian struck right in the middle of installation, and it made things extremely difficult for us to coordinate with all the different trades being up in Minnesota. The State of Florida was across the board devastated by this event and greatly impacted.
What was your solution?
This is another hard one as there is no one answer, mainly just staying on top of all the moving parts of the projects where we could and chasing things to the end. One thing I’ve learned in general but especially in this industry is persistence is key.

What do you like to do on a Sunday afternoon?
Depends on the weather typically, but usually focused on spending focused quality family time in some form or another, along with home prep for upcoming work/school week.
I’d say generally its used as an overall recharge.
If we gave you next week off, what would you do with your time?
If I had the time, resources and complete freedom-I’d be on a beach.
What was your last “oh my god this is perfect” meal?
Either My Greek Spaghetti or My Chicken Saltimbocca.
What is your best dish?
See above, otherwise I can always throw down on some Tacos.
