Thomas Roberts - Solutions Engineer
How long have you been with Rapids?
Since 2017
What was your favorite project?
So far it would be the Hot Indian franchise that is popping up.
Why?
Because of the high level of scrutiny that the client has paid to the project and information requested. I feel that this will be a good test for how I am going to prepare my presentation of equipment options to my clients in the future to ensure they have all the information required to make a wise decision.
What was your most challenging project?
The above mentioned Hot Indian.
Why?
One of the remodels has attached to it an accelerated timeline because of the location which has forced us to adhere strictly to the schedules set in place.
What was your solution?
Ensuring a hyper-focus on the needs of the other players involved, such as the conceptual designers and Architect, to be sure that our timelines were synced.
Also, making sure that I was transparent about our timeline and goals with the client so that they understood the pressure that was being placing on them to accomplish the goals I had outlined.
Name some of your previous projects.
A “yet to be named” Bagelry
Additional Hot Indian Projects

What do you like to do on a Sunday afternoon?
Depends on the season. Right now it would be… mow the lawn. Enjoy an adult beverage with a friend or neighbor, and relax with my family.
If we gave you next week off, what would you do with your time?
Extend my time at the cabin to celebrate the seasons changing.
What was your last “oh my god this is perfect” meal?
A springtime cassoulet with in-house sausages, a duck confit crepenette studding with foie gras, fava beans, and a herbed tomato broth.
What is your best dish?
Smoked beef brisket with my own special cornbread and braised greens, or the above dish!
